Most people meet Rastafari through the music and think they know it. The faith came long before it. It is a movement of works, of African liberation, of a crown that defied empire. Reason through it, step by step.
Overstand (v.): to grasp a thing from a higher place, not a lower one. You don't stand under the truth. You overstand it.

Most people meet Rastafari through the music and stop there. The faith runs deeper than any sound.
Marcus Garvey told the people to look to Africa, where a King would be crowned. In 1930 His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I was crowned in Addis Ababa. Leonard Howell and the early elders carried that word to the people, and suffered for it.
OVERSTAND walks that story, root to crown. The mansions and the livity. The holy days and the Royal Creed. And Nyahbinghi, the heartbeat of the faith, sounding long before reggae carried its message out to the world.
The Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. OVERSTAND was built for the youth first, so the next generation gets the faith straight and not secondhand, and it is open to anybody willing to reason and learn.
It is free. It works on any phone. No app store, no gatekeeper, no cost, and it keeps growing.
